Knewton is on a mission to personalize education for students around the world. Education companies worldwide use the Knewton infrastructure platform to power course materials that dynamically adapt to each student’s unique needs.
At Knewton, we use small, cross-functional teams to solve difficult challenges with real-world implications. Teams comprise a range of technical, mathematical, educational, and design specialists unified by a passion for improving education.
Knewton was founded in 2008 and has offices in New York City and London. Investments top $105M from well-known angel investors plus Accel, Bessemer, First Round Capital, Firstmark, Founders Fund, GSV, and Atomico.
Do you love to code? We have a long and growing list of interesting projects, but too few engineers to get them all done. There’s plenty of opportunity to take ownership of a project at all levels of the stack. Past interns have helped us scale our infrastructure, tune our site performance, and have built new features into our products. At Knewton, interns are a key part of the team who work hand in hand with a development team working at the cutting edge of education software.
Software engineering interns will also be joining a stellar group of other interns. During previous summers our office sported NYC Turing Fellows and students from the top undergraduate and graduate programs. Interns get to learn about the business side of the company as well, and listen to speakers from across the tech world. Past speakers include Peter Thiel, Ron Conway, Mitch Kapor, and many others.
